Africa - June/July 2006 : This was my first trip to Africa. I went to South Africa to see the Sardine Run with Eric Cheng www.echeng.com and Wetpixel www.wetpixel.com and it was fantastic. If you're thinking of going, please contact Nic at SEAL Expeditions www.sea-air-land.com You won't be disappointed. SEAL then took us to Botswana for short safari – which we did on Mountain Bikes. It was a great way to experience a safari. NOTE - All of the underwater shots were taken by my roommate Flann Horgan. If you use any of them, you'll have to take it up with him. I would have posted my own, but they didn't come out very well and it's embarrassing. Thanks Flann! NOTE 2 - The pictures of the boats - SEAL 1 - were taken by someone from SEAL Expeditions. The Grand Canyon - Oct. 2008 : Grand Canyon & Sedona - Oct. 2008. I went for a trip out west this fall. The basic itinerary was to drive from Phoenix thru Sedona all the way to the biggest hole in the ground; the Grand Canyon! We decided to rent an open air jeep; which was awesome in Phoenix - but was even better once we realized the temps were dropping to about 20 degrees F. Yup; it was quite cold in the desert! Nonetheless, we loved every bit of it. You'll see the basic sequence of our trip in the slide show, but it doesn't begin to tell the whole story of how much fun we really had. Neither of us has been out there prior and we already decided to go again some day. BTW - our asses are still sore from the mule ride!
